The new Suzuki Across makes a powerful first impression, exuding strength and capability at a glance. Its bold SUV design is accentuated by a commanding front grille and distinctive, assertive front fascia. Large wheels paired with rugged wheel arch cladding emphasize the vehicle’s ability to venture confidently beyond paved roads.
Customers can choose from four striking exterior colors: Massive Grey Metallic, Ever Rest Metallic, Super White, and Attitude Black Metallic.
The interior follows an “island architecture” concept, seamlessly integrating key functions such as displays, audio system, electronic shift selector, and other controls into a clean, driver-focused layout. Combined with seamless smartphone integration, this creates an intuitive and user-friendly infotainment experience. A lower-positioned center console enhances forward visibility and overall driving comfort.
The driver’s seat offers ten-way power adjustment (longitudinal, height, and reclining) together with lumbar support, and includes a memory function for two personalized positions. The front passenger seat provides eight-way adjustment. Both front seats feature three-stage seat heating. The seats are upholstered in a premium combination of fabric and high-quality synthetic leather.
The new Across offers a generous luggage capacity of 446 liters (VDA). An electric tailgate with hands-free foot-sensor operation adds everyday convenience, while the foldable rear seats make loading large items effortless.
Powerful and Compact Next-Generation PHEV System
The new Suzuki Across is equipped with the latest-generation plug-in hybrid system, delivering significantly improved efficiency and a substantially increased electric range compared to the previous model. By integrating the Power Control Unit (PCU) and DC/DC converter into the front eAxle and utilizing advanced silicon carbide semiconductors, the system is more compact-freeing up additional interior space. A higher-capacity battery extends both pure electric driving range and overall long-distance capability, while silicon carbide technology minimizes power losses for greater overall efficiency.
The 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine combines high output with excellent efficiency. Its long stroke and high compression ratio improve thermal efficiency and fuel economy. The engine employs a dual-injection system-direct and port injection-automatically switching between them depending on driving conditions for optimal performance and economy.
Standard E-Four All-Wheel Drive
The intelligent E-Four all-wheel-drive system provides excellent stability across a wide range of conditions without compromising fuel efficiency. The electronic control unit continuously monitors driving dynamics and precisely distributes torque between the front and rear axles, while also helping to correct understeer or oversteer.
In addition to the optimized NORMAL, ECO, and SPORT modes, drivers can manually select TRAIL mode, which delivers a fixed front/rear torque split together with targeted control of braking and drive forces for enhanced capability on low-grip surfaces.
Fully Digital Integrated Cockpit
Navigation, entertainment, communication, and vehicle settings are unified in an advanced digital cockpit operated via two intuitive interfaces. A customizable 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel offers various views-including navigation and an Eco monitor displaying fuel and electric energy consumption in graphical form.
A large 12.9-inch center touchscreen controls the automatic climate system, audio, and navigation, with customizable widgets for personalized operation.
Making its debut in the Across is a Head-up Display (HUD) that projects key information-such as navigation guidance and vehicle speed-onto the windshield at a virtual distance of approximately 4-6 meters ahead. Drivers can choose from three display modes, allowing critical data to be read without taking eyes off the road.
Comprehensive Comfort and Safety Features
A wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones is integrated into the center console, complemented by a total of five USB-C ports throughout the cabin.
The latest Across generation introduces a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies that detect potential hazards and alert the driver with audible and visual warnings.
The Pre-Collision System uses a millimeter-wave radar and forward-facing monocular camera to monitor the road ahead, detecting pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles that may cross the path. It warns the driver of an impending collision and supports avoidance through braking and steering interventions.
The Emergency Steering Assist function provides gentle braking-or, if necessary, steering input-to help avoid collisions while keeping the vehicle within its lane. To prevent accidents caused by unintended sudden acceleration, engine output is automatically limited at low speeds; this protection now also applies during turning maneuvers.
The Adaptive Cruise Control uses radar technology to maintain a safe distance to the vehicle ahead, automatically adjusting speed and braking to a complete stop when necessary. It includes a dynamic Eco mode that optimizes fuel and battery energy usage. Map data enables predictive acceleration and deceleration when approaching intersections, toll booths, and similar situations. The system can also analyze and anticipate the behavior of up to two vehicles ahead.
With its blend of powerful yet efficient plug-in hybrid technology, genuine all-wheel-drive capability, premium interior, and cutting-edge safety systems, the new Suzuki Across offers a compelling package for customers seeking versatility, comfort, and peace of mind.
